Captain Residency Hotel is seeking qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Media Reporter in Abuja and Lagos.
Job Description:
Research and gather information on newsworthy events.
Conduct interviews and write accurate, balanced, and engaging news stories.
Analyse data to identify trends and newsworthy information.
Verify information and update stories as new developments emerge.
Build and maintain relationships with news sources.
Attend press conferences and public events.
Record and edit video and audio content.
Respond promptly and accurately to breaking news.
Work with editors to review and revise stories.
Adhere to professional journalism ethics and standards.
Requirements:
B.Sc. degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Media Reporter or in a similar role.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in English.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Good knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques.
Ability to research, investigate, and report news across multiple platforms.
