Job Summary:
Café Chocolat, a restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja, serving all-day breakfasts, freshly baked cakes, coffee, and Continental dishes, is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Waiter / Waitress.
Job Description:
Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about meals.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Communicate special requests and dietary requirements to kitchen staff.
Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
Handle customer complaints politely and escalate issues when necessary.
Clear and reset tables while maintaining a clean dining area.
Perform opening and closing duties.
Maintain food hygiene and safety standards.
Work effectively with other team members, especially during busy periods.
Promote daily specials and recommend additional menu items.
Requirements:
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good personal hygiene and presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality establishment is an added advantage.
