Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on, and solutions-driven Factory Operations Manager to oversee daily factory operations, lead staff, improve production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and ensure proper inventory control, reporting, and operational discipline.
Job Description:
Oversee factory departments, including production, packaging, quality control, stores, maintenance, security, and facilities.
Develop production plans, set targets, and monitor output, efficiency, and productivity.
Supervise staff, enforce discipline, and improve accountability across departments.
Monitor raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, inventory records, and stock reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and minimise production downtime.
Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to reduce waste, delays, and costs.
Maintain accurate production, inventory, quality, and maintenance records.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for the CEO.
Use digital tools and reporting systems to monitor performance and improve factory processes.
Requirements:
Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, Operations Management, Production Management, or a related field.
Experience in manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, bakery, packaging, or production.
Strong knowledge of factory operations, production planning, and inventory control.
Experience supervising production staff and factory teams.
Understanding of quality control, food safety, and maintenance coordination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other reporting tools.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and people management skills.
Excellent record-keeping, reporting, and time management skills.
Ability to work hands-on, enforce discipline, and drive operational improvements.
